Litron cup and its loving porcelain saucer of Sèvres circa 1789 and decorator Buteux (eldest son)
Cup "litron" and saucer soft-past porcelain. The backgroud colored with the new blue spotted with gold finds in simulation of lazuli. And for the saucer decor of natural flowers planted in an aquatic landscape. The planted or botanical flowers are wholly unaccustomed in Sèvres which uses "alone" flowers only or in bunches. This very rare decor contained in a central reservation is underlined of gold and pearls and the border of the saucer is adorned with a very rich frieze of rhombs containing each an individual flower on bottom of pink cloth and braid violine and golden. This frieze is taken back next to cup leaving the bottom lazuli as main ornament between two ranks of gold pearls. Both pieces have factory mark of interlaced "Ls", date-letter for 1789 "LL" in the center and mark for Buteux (eldest son)
