Porcelain statuette of Niderviller circa 1800 representing a cry of the city of Paris The savetier
A polychrome porcelain statuette representing one of the famous cry of the city of Paris : the Savetier. These figures were created according to the drawings of Christophe Huet 1700-1759. With a surprising realism this figurine gives an impression of life by its delicacy of execution it gives life to this small street dealer. It is an illustration of the technical perfection which the modelers and the painters of this manufacture had reached. Here the figure with its big opened mouth, seems to stir up the client by introducing him at the end of arm a pair of shoes. Niderviller circa 1800. This very apreciate serial from which the first model takes part around 1780 will see new models creayed till 1800 where they are very famous.
