Pair of porcelain candleholders of the Indian company period Jiaqing (17961820)
Pair of porcelain candleholders of China with Chinese decor and leaves of tobacco ordered for the European market.These candleholders were accomplished to a model of silver plate of John Parsons famous maker in candleholder under the reign of George III (17601820). The decor is of blue and golden Greek on the perimeter of the square foundation which contains four reservations of Chinese landscapes or birds on branches. They have a long circular barrel with a dragon wrapped around in sky and they are ended by a bobèche with rare decor of half leaves of tobacco.These candleholders were accomplished under the reign of the emperor Jiaqing (1796-1820)
