Curious statue of Virgin of delivering mother made in polychromy of earthware of hight firing, decorated as"Compendario".The virgin, dressed in a large orange dress, has splendid effect of pleats. She holds in her arms the child Jesus seen on back, this is absolutely unique in the history of French earthware. It would not be a Virgin presenting Jesus as God made human, but a loving Virgin mother introducing Jesus in its motherhood of maternal love as the child searches only a gesture of cordiality on the breast of its loving mother
